Dancing Horses and Lily Shoes is a set of 3 paintings and 4 pairs of lily shoes.
The paintings are done in oil on canvas while the shoes are made from polymer clay and cloth + sequins. They are meant to be installed as one work. The shoes are placed on clear acrylic pedestals.
The work is about our propensity for pretty things and human bondage.
